Since today marks the red headed fox & my seven year anniversary I thought it would be the perfect time to tell our love story…….

(This is us at our vow renewal in November 2004)
Back in January of 2003 my best friend Tiffany and I went out to a club in Killeen, Texas (I’m a classy chick and I really don’t suggest going to clubs to meet guys, just so happens that’s what happened to me). It wasn’t what our original plan was and it kind of just happened that we ended up where we did. I thought it was pretty lame and really couldn’t wait to get out of there but the night proved to be much more than I ever thought it would be.
According to Chris, he saw me and gave me the “look” and when I didn’t acknowledge his “look” he thought I wasn’t interested. In my defense, he’s almost 6′4 and I’m barely 5′3 so I didn’t see said look and therefore had no clue he was trying to get my attention with his “mad looking skills”. Later that night Tiffany and I were sitting at a table and I look over and see a group of guys heading out of the club when this short guy makes eye contact with me and comes on over to our table. He was loud and obnoxious and in the Army, they were all in the Army and I really wasn’t into Army guys. I had heard numerous things about Army guys and I just wasn’t wanting to get in a relationship with one at the time. The short guy ended up being the red headed fox’s best friend Andy and to this day I am so thankful to him. We ended up talking until three in the morning and then he called me later to make sure I made it home alright. I didn’t see him again until the following Saturday night but we had talked on the phone daily the whole week. After meeting up again that Saturday we were pretty much inseparable from then on out. We dated for about six weeks and he came over to my apartment with news of an upcoming deployment and we just looked at each other and knew that we wanted to get married. It wasn’t romantic in the traditional sense, but for us it was perfect. On March 5th, 2003 we headed to the Justice of the Peace and were married, just him and I. It was perfect. When he came home from his deployment we decided to have a ceremony so the family could be involved. It was also one of the most perfect days, and I was thirteen weeks pregnant with Kaylee!
Oh and turns out, those Army guys really aren’t that bad. In fact they are pretty awesome.
Red Headed Fox,
I love you with a thousand hearts.
Thank you for being my rock.
I’m so blessed to have you as my husband.
I look forward to many more years with you.
You are my heart.
Much Love,
