Sweet & Sour

September 14, 2009

It’s been a while since I’ve done this one too!

The Sweets

  • Flowers for no reason.  The red headed fox sent me flowers this week with the sweetest message, completely made my week.
  • We are officially in the last month of this deployment!!  Our family will be reunited very soon and we can’t wait!
  • Harper.  Everything, well almost everything, about that kid is sweet.  He’s currently going through a cuddling phase with “big kiss, big hugs” every few minutes.  Love it.
  • All the work Kaylee brings home from school, we save it all and she is so proud of it.
  • Classic movies.  I love’em all.

The Sours

  • All this rain, I know it’s good for the crops and all, but it just makes me want to curl up and sleep all day.
  • My long list of things to do before the red headed fox gets home, the list is long and it feels like it’s never going to get done.
  • Last minute notice.  It doesn’t matter what it’s for.  I’m a planner, I like to have everything planned ahead of time and when I can’t do that it irks me a bit.  (I’m not perfect people! haha!)
  • My mom’s cat Midnight, every time I step foot outside she is trying to tackle my leg and she hangs on for dear life.  I am not a cat person and her claws are painful.

Lastly I will leave you with some photos of my beautiful flowers.  Happy Monday!

The Sweets

  • Moving.  I am so happy to be onto this next chapter of our lives.
  • Family.  I love having everyone right here all around me.
  • My Brodie, Sammie.  I love that little punk more than he will ever know.
  • They found the red headed fox’s lost mail!!

The Sours

  • Moving.  Although I’m happy to be here, I’m going to miss my family back in South East Texas.
  • Not being able to spend Father’s day with the red headed fox or with my dad.
  • The Post Office here.  I’m not going to go into details but lets just say a good bit of my mail has been LOST.  Hmmm, first the red headed fox’s mail was lost and now this…..
  • Back Spasms = no fun

Sweet & Sour Sunday

May 17, 2009

The Sweets

  • I passed my History final.  Such a relief to be done with that class!
  • All things Mother’s Day.  It was such a great day filled with family and fun
  • Buttermilk Pecan Pie = Pure Deliciousness!!  My mom makes the BEST pies ever.
  • Summer dresses, love’em!

The Sours

  • My Jeep.  Why is it that things that I have no clue about go wrong while the red headed fox is away??  On a good note, it’s fixed now and good to go.
  • Bad drivers, even worse bad drivers when it’s raining.
  • Potty training little boys — again something I know nothing about!  It’s been quiet the experience so far.

My Boys, I love’em both so much.

The Sweets

  • I passed my History midterm — Holllla!
  • WHCC — Seriously they are the best printing company a girl could ask for.  Love ‘em!!
  • It’s May!!  Woohoo!!  Kaylee will be turning 4 this month and we are one more month closer to this deployment being OVER!
  • Kaylee helped me make Basil Pesto Pizza, I just love making sweet memories like that with her.

The Sours

  • Rain + Hail = an unhappy Sasha.  I for the most part don’t mind the rain but when you add hail in there as well I start to fear for my cars.
  • The Hills, or shall I say Spencer Pratt.  Seriously is he not the most annoying guy ever.  I cannot stand watching that guy on TV.
  • My History class, or rather all the reading that goes along with it.

Sweet & Sour Sunday

April 26, 2009

The Sweets:

  • Harper told me a knock knock joke.  His first ever!  It didn’t make any sense at all but I loved it!
  • Sonic Lemon Berry slush, oh how I love them!
  • I was able to chat it up with the red headed fox for a little over 30 minutes!  Huge improvement over the quick phone calls I’ve been getting lately.
  • I just ordered a new digital point and shoot!  YAY!  We have one but it’s currently in Iraq with the red headed fox, it should be here early next week.

The Sours:

  • I went to take my midterm for my History class and after I answered 1 question the site timed out and wouldn’t let me log back in to finish taking it.  BOO!  Hopefully that will all be cleared up sometime this week
  • I have to get a new battery for my Jeep.  I went out of town not to long ago and it sat in our drive way for a couple of weeks without being started so needless to say when I went to try and start it I got nothing.
  • My lawnmower.  I despise that thing, it’s pretty much brand new but decided to stop working.  Why does everything go wrong when the red headed fox is away?

Now for the fun part, the photo!  I took this of Kaylee today before I went to do a newborn session.  I just love this one!!

Sweet & Sour Sunday

April 20, 2009

The Sweets

  • We are officially 6 months down in this deployment!  YAY!
  • Seeing the pure joy on Kaylee’s face and all her dance moves while watching her favorite rock star Hannah Montana at the theater
  • Harper is feeling much better this week, no breathing problems at all!

The Sours

  • We still have 6 more months in this deployment.  I know they will fly by but at this moment October seems so far away.
  • I still haven’t redesigned the blog
  • I got my Yukon stuck in the mud on Saturday, luckily for me my dad is a better “get the car out of the mud” person than I am.  I was too afraid of hitting other cars that were parked in the same field as I was.  Hopefully they had better luck getting out of there than I did.  :)
  • The rain.

Now that’s out of the way, here’s a peek at a beautiful Senior that will be making the blog within the next few days.  Enjoy!

Sweet & Sour Sunday

April 6, 2009

Formally known as High/Low Sunday.  I wasn’t satisfied with the High/Low so I had to change it.  :)   This weeks Sweet & Sour blog will be from the past 5 weeks, don’t worry I narrowed it down quiet a bit.  :)

Sweet

  • 18 wonderful days with my super fine husband!!  Chris came home for R&R on the 2nd and words cannot express how good it felt to see him.  The kids were beyond excited and I was as giddy as a school girl.  :)
  • Having my husband here on our 6th wedding anniversary!!
  • Visiting family
  • Getting to spend a day with one of my favorite friends (yes I have favorites! hahaha!) Laura.
  • Twilight came out on DVD, hollllla!  I love Twilight, although the book was so much better than the movie.
  • I started getting my learn on with some college classes

Sour

  • Dropping Chris off at the airport, I don’t care how many times I do it, and I’ve done it allot, it NEVER gets any easier.
  • Between the kids and I we all had pink eye, double ear infections and strep throat all in the same week.  No. Fun. At. All.
  • Classes started — I know I listed this as a sweet but it’s also a sour, I forgot how much reading you have to do in college!  haha!
  • Laundry, I despise laundry and wish it would magically wash it’s self.

Lastly, I will leave you with a photo of  Habibi (that’s Arabic for “My Love”), he’s what makes my life as sweet as it is.

I  have allot of new blogs coming this week so check back soon to see what/who they are.  :)
