Much Love,

Just for you Ashley!

Much Love,

Today is the day Kaylee started Pre K. She jumped out of bed and instantly started laughing jumping up and down asking me “Is today the day momma?” She quickly got herself dressed and ready to go and then sat with anticipation for a whole hour before the bus came. She bravely got on the bus and rode it to school and I of course followed and met her as she got off the bus. I think she gave me about 3 kisses before she was ready for me to leave and then she just went on and mingled with the other kids. Our baby girl is officially in school.
Oh and she would not let me help her pick out her clothes, she had to do it all by herself.

Harper had to wait for the bus with Kaylee, he told her several times “miss you at school Kaylee”. She would just smile and say “miss you too bub.”
Much Love,

K-Bug, Kaylee Cakes, K-dizzle & Short Stack, she answers to each and every one of them. Tomorrow our sweet baby girl starts Pre-K. Yeah I know, it’s just Pre-K it’s not kindergarten and it’s not even required, but to us it’s all the same. She is starting school. She will be riding the bus per her request, you can guarantee I will be following that bus all the way to school. Thank goodness we are the last stop and it’s a small school, I don’t want to be known as that crazy mom who stalks the school bus. She has also asked me to meet her at school to walk her to her class. How grown up of her to want to meet me somewhere. She is so thrilled to be starting school and I am excited for her but sad at the same time. Our sweet little baby girl is growing up. She’s no longer the little girl who needs me for everything, she is growing into her own independent little person and I am so excited to see what life has in store for her.
Oh and a fun little tidbit for you, the school she is starting is the same school my great grandpa went to, the school my grandma and great aunt went to, the school my mom went to and the school I went to, so there are quiet a few generations there that have all went to the same school. We are very proud that she will be the 5th generation of this family to attend there.

A couple of layouts for her scrapbook………

Lately I’ve been feeling a little bad about posting so many of Kaylee and not of Harper so I thought I would throw this storyboard in, I’m having it printed as we speak so once the final product has arrived I’m sure I will post some photos of it, but for now here’s the digi image of it.

That little guy has my heart on lock down. He is growing so fast that it’s hard for me to believe. I know I’ve said this before but I wish they would stay this little for just a bit longer…….
Much Love,

I wish she would stay just. like. this. a little bit longer. She is growing up way to fast.

Be still my heart…….
Much Love,

A year ago today the red headed fox left for MiTT training in Kansas. A year ago today I knew that this was going to possibly be one of the most trying 15 months of my life up to date. A year ago today I watched my kids run around our home waiting for daddy to come home from work and it broke my heart to tell them that daddy was going to have to work for a long time. A year ago today I thought that this day would take forever to get here.
Looking back on this past year I realize that yes this was the most trying year of my life thus far. Yes our children have often waited at the window for their daddy to come home and I’ve had to explain to them many times why their daddy can’t come home for a while. Yes it broke their heart and mine to see the look on their faces knowing they can’t see their daddy. I’ve also realized that no this year did not take forever to pass by, it seems to have passed with a blink of an eye. Now here we are almost at the end with only two and a half more months left.
For me this has been a year of learning. I’ve learned so much about myself that it’s been unbelievable. I’ve learned what I want out of life, how to be a better mother, how to take time out of my busy day to day life and just enjoy the little moments with my children because they are growing up entirely too fast. Most importantly I’ve learned what I thought was impossible, I’ve come to realize that despite the thousands of miles & the many months of separation that right now in this moment I love my husband more than I did the day we said “I Do”. He is my heart and I can not wait for October to get here so we can be reunited and return to our normal (if there is such a thing) life.
I will leave you with a few photos of our family this same time last year. It’s amazing to me how much we have grown as a family in the past year…….
I love them all with a thousand hearts.

Meet Ben & Bailee. They are twins and they are my cousins. While in Georgetown I took a few quick photos of them while we were there visiting. It seems like just yesterday we were welcoming them into our family and now here we are, right on the edge of being full fledged teenagers. My how time fly’s!

Much Love,

Bailee
Ben
Michael
Sebastian
They will all be making their way to the blog soon!
Much Love,

These photos are LOOOONG over due. I have been meaning to take Harper out just the two of us and get some but it just never happened……..that is until last week. I loaded him up and went where every little boy wants to be, a huge hay field with plenty of running room and lots of places for dinosaurs to roam about. He LOVED it. He took those dinos everywhere and ran around just as happy as could be.
For now Harper is a mamma’s boy, but I have a feeling once the red headed fox gets back home that will all change. Last week while getting him ready for bed we had this conversation:
Harper: Mamma, I miss daddy.
Me: I miss him too baby.
Harper: Mamma, daddy at work.
Me: Yes baby daddy’s at work.
Harper: Daddy’s at work fighting the Hulk.
Me: Daddy’s fighting the Hulk huh?
Harper: No mamma Daddy IS the Hulk, Daddy is a Superhero.
Now how am I supposed to compete with a Superhero?
I’m pretty sure I have a photo of the red headed fox making this same face….

This is one of my favorites, haha!

At first I was going to throw this one out because I didn’t like that the face wasn’t in full focus, but then I looked at it a little longer and I just love the face he’s making. It’s classic Harper and anyone who really knows him knows that this is all him. Love it!

Here are a few from a mini session I did with Kaylee last week. My hands are full with this one, she had been asking me to take some photos of her to send to her daddy so that’s what we did. She picked out her outfit and everything.
Enjoy!

My mission next week is to get some of Harper. Wish me luck! haha!
Much Love,
