As I’ve mentioned before, I think WeeAlaska Designs ROCK! My kiddos LOVE LOVE LOVE their Uber Bebe Minkee Blankees! Kaylee has hers with her all the time here at the house and Harper is getting just as bad with his!! They are so contemporary, soft and UNIQUE! These last two make me smile Isn’t Kinlee so stinkin’ cute!!

is what she told me she wanted for breakfast this morning. She was very serious about it too. I can’t believe in one short month my baby girl will be turning three. Each and every day she amazes me with her quick wit and all of her *divaness*. Here are some of her birthday photos that we took today, so ENJOY! Oh and by the way — these poses were 100% her.

Today after a little birthday session with Kaylee I broke my beloved 50 mm 1.8 lens.   It’s still a mystery how it all happened, but one minute I am uploading photos onto the computer and the next I am tripping over the USB cable and my camera — lens and all are falling to the floor.  The lens is what broke the fall so my camera is fine (Thank goodness!!) but my wonderful 50 mm lens didn’t make it through!

At first I was horrified, that lens spends about 90% of the time on my camera but then I got to thinking about how much I have been wanting to upgrade to the 50 mm 1.4, so what did I do?  I jumped online and ordered the 50 mm 1.4!  To say that I am stoked about this new lens would be an understatement!  I can’t wait for that wonderful man in brown to deliver my new baby on Monday!

This is probably the face I made once I saw what happened to my lens……..

A couple of weekends ago Chris and I decided to take the kids to the zoo. We were all getting a little cabin fever and since the weather has started to be pretty nice outside and most of the snow gone (well until today that is) we decided it was a good day to go to the zoo. The Anchorage zoo takes all of 30 minutes maybe 45 minutes to go through. It’s VERY small compared to some of the zoos we’ve been to back home. Despite the smallness of it Kaylee had a fantastic time — Harper on the other hand was not impressed at all Here are a few photos from our 30 minutes at the zoo and of Kaylee’s favorite animals — The Bears

Since Harper was born, Chris and I have tried to make a point that at least 2 or 3 Friday nights a month we have a date night.
