If I could high five the people at Glamour magazine right now I would.  I am so happy that they put a real woman in their September issue.  I’m not going to post the photo here because I know a good bit of you visit this site while your at work so I will post the link and you can view it at your own discretion.

Here’s an interview she did with Matt Lauer on the Today Show as well. I love how she says “I’m not saying that size 2 isn’t normal…but MY normal is this.”

Separation from a spouse is hard no matter who you are.  Seperation for a year (in our case about fifteen months) is just dreadful.  So in hopes of some sort of sweet little token for the red headed fox I stumbled upon this idea.  I can’t take any credit for it because I will be the first to admit that I am not that smooth.

So I dragged my brother out mid day and showed him how to use my camera, he of course laughed at me the whole time but I didn’t care. I didn’t care because the words on the card are truer than true. I would say “Yes” all over again. In a heartbeat. The red headed fox and I have been separated allot in our 6+ years of marriage but one thing always holds true, we know that no matter where we are in this world, we are exactly where we are supposed to be; together. He is my better half and I am so thankful for him.

One thing you must know about Harper and have probably heard me mention it before is his love for dinosaurs.  He takes them everywhere with him, he takes them in the bath, he tucks them in bed with him at night, they go everywhere he goes.

Yesterday after Kaylee went to school and Harper and I settled back in I asked him what it was that he wanted to do, his reply was “Have fun Mom!” and then he said he wanted to go to “Dino Land”.  Dino Land translates into the pasture.  So off we went to Dino Land.  He lined everyone of his dinosaurs up and gave them a little pep talk and then played his little heart out.  I think he brought an elephant and giraffe along as well.  He had a blast running around and roaming the area with his dinosaurs.

Giving his dinos their “talk”.  I’m not exactly sure what it was that he was saying to them but I know it was serious and he meant business.  haha!

Today is the day Kaylee started Pre K.  She jumped out of bed and instantly started laughing jumping up and down asking me “Is today the day momma?” She quickly got herself dressed and ready to go and then sat with anticipation for a whole hour before the bus came.  She bravely got on the bus and rode it to school and I of course followed and met her as she got off the bus.  I think she gave me about 3 kisses before she was ready for me to leave and then she just went on and mingled with the other kids.  Our baby girl is officially in school.

Oh and she would not let me help her pick out her clothes, she had to do it all by herself.

Harper had to wait for the bus with Kaylee, he told her several times “miss you at school Kaylee”.  She would just smile and say “miss you too bub.”

It’s been a tradition in our family since I was about 12 or so.  Every year we would anxiously wait all summer and then a few weeks before school would start my family would pack up and we would go spend a week at the beach.  It’s been a while since I participated in the yearly beach vacation (Kaylee was 2 months the last time) so I was pretty excited to be able to go this year.  Let me just say it did not dissapoint, I had forgotten how much I love just sitting on the beach listening to the waves.

This is my brother in his truest crazy self.  I have a ton of these photos of him.

I have finally updated the Sasha Branam Photography website.  I still have a few things I would like to do but that will come with time.  I’ve updated the galleries and the beats (yes I refer to music as beats, don’t judge me.  haha!)  Go take a looksie and let me know what you think!

K-Bug, Kaylee Cakes, K-dizzle & Short Stack, she answers to each and every one of them.  Tomorrow our sweet baby girl starts Pre-K.  Yeah I know, it’s just Pre-K it’s not kindergarten and it’s not even required, but to us it’s all the same.  She is starting school.  She will be riding the bus per her request, you can guarantee I will be following that bus all the way to school.  Thank goodness we are the last stop and it’s a small school, I don’t want to be known as that crazy mom who stalks the school bus.  She has also asked me to meet her at school to walk her to her class.  How grown up of her to want to meet me somewhere.  She is so thrilled to be starting school and I am excited for her but sad at the same time.  Our sweet little baby girl is growing up.  She’s no longer the little girl who needs me for everything, she is growing into her own independent little person and I am so excited to see what life has in store for her.

Oh and a fun little tidbit for you, the school she is starting is the same school my great grandpa went to, the school my grandma and great aunt went to, the school my mom went to and the school I went to, so there are quiet a few generations there that have all went to the same school.  We are very proud that she will be the 5th generation of this family to attend there.

Lately I’ve been feeling a little bad about posting so many of Kaylee and not of Harper so I thought I would throw this storyboard in, I’m having it printed as we speak so once the final product has arrived I’m sure I will post some photos of it, but for now here’s the digi image of it.

That little guy has my heart on lock down.  He is growing so fast that it’s hard for me to believe.  I know I’ve said this before but I wish they would stay this little for just a bit longer…….

I have sooooo many favorites of these two.
